School Lunches
As a Southwark school, all children at Peter Hills currently receive free school lunches.
Our nutritious hot school meals are made onsite by our catering team using fresh, natural ingredients. Children have access to a salad bar every day, which is served by children in Year 6.
We strongly believe that our children should have input into the food they eat. That is why we conduct half termly surveys to ensure our menu reflects the children's tastes. Please find the latest menu, which rotates on a 3 week cycle, below.
Packed Lunches
If you wish for your child to be packed lunch then you must let us know before your child starts with us, otherwise they will automatically given school dinners. If you would like to change from school lunches to packed lunches after then we do require a half terms notice.
We encourage children to bring healthy packed lunches into school. Packed lunches should not contain glass bottles, cans of fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolate or large packets of crisps. We also ask that foods containing nuts are not brought to school in order to safeguard children with serious nut allergies. Packed lunches should be brought in a suitable lunchbox clearly marked with the child’s name and class.
