Maths Mastery

In KS2, children build on the concepts they have learnt in KS1. They are given the opportunity to build a deep understanding, gain confidence and feel more competent in maths. Following the Maths Mastery scheme of work, lessons consist of discussions about mathematical concepts and practising becoming fluent in the skills that are being taught.

Children are given questions that are represented in different ways (concrete, pictorial and abstract) to challenge their understanding and fluency. Built into every lesson, are opportunities to build resilience and passion for problem-solving.
