SIAMS Inspection Report
Friday 17th June Peter Hills had it's SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools). SIAMS inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it.
We were tremendously pleased with the outcome of the inspection and felt the inspector was accurate in her judgements. The SIAMS report (below) validates all the things we do well at Peter Hills and identifies our next steps for moving forward. The school was judged GOOD overall.
Congratulations to the entire staff team and Governors for their hard work and dedication. We have much to be proud of.
Quotes from inspection report 17th June 2016

-‘The Head teacher, supported well by her deputy and governors, are ambitious to develop and promote the school’s distinctive nature as a Church of England primary school’, and this is ‘impacting positively on the academic progress made by pupils, on their attitudes to learning and on their very good behaviour’.
-‘Pupil attainment shows an improving trend’ and ‘this reflects well the school’s ambition for its pupils in terms of raising aspirations and supporting them to be the best they can be both academically and personally’.
-‘The school provides a good range of opportunities for pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development’.
-‘Governors show their commitment to the Christian ethos of the school through their wide-ranging involvement’.
